Part 1: Determine your skin tone and skin colour
Step 1: Examine your skin in natural lighting to determine your complexion: fair, light, medium, tan, deep.
*Fair skin: Looks very pale or translucent, get burn very easily. May have freckles and some redness.
*Light skin: Looks pale. Get burn easily under the sun and may possibly turn tan.
*Medium: Tan easily and generally don't burn or have sensitive skin.
*Tan: The skin is tan or olive. Rarely burn and look tanned even in the winter.
*Deep: The skin is dark and never get sunburn. Hair colour is possibly black or dark brown.
Step 2: Look at the colour of the veins on your wrist to figure out if you have a warm, neutral, or cool skin tone.
*Cool skin tone: Blue veins.
*Warm skin tone: Green veins.
*Neutral skin tone: Appear to be both blue and green.
Step 3: Try on gold and silver jewelry. Which looks better?
*Warm skin tones: Look best on gold jewelry.
*Cool skin tones: Look best in silver jewelry .

*Fair or light skin: Try on light pink or peach.
*Cool and warm undertones: Try on light pink or peach.
*Medium skin: Try on berry shades.
*Cool undertones: Try on cranberry, avoid pale colour.
*Warm undertones: Try on cherry red.
*Tan skin: Try on deep red and deep pink.
*Deep skin: Try on deep colour, avoid bright colour.
*Cool undertones: Try on deep reds.
